BTS's Jin showcased his unwavering love for his fans, ARMY, as he released his first solo album "Happy" and met with 3,800 ARMYs.
On November 17, Jin held a fan showcase titled "Jin 'Happy' Special Stage" at Jangchung Gymnasium Arena in Jung-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of his solo album "Happy."
This was Jin's first showcase since completing his military service and the start of his debut solo album. Global ARMYs gathering at Jangchung Gymnasium Arena two hours before the event, with fans of all nationalities, ages, and genders, flocking to Jangchung-dong.
During the showcase, Jin declared, "I came to determined to make ARMY happy," and presented an acrostic poem with "행복 (haeng-bok; happy/happiness)." Following the cue provided by ARMY. Jin recited, "I'm happy (행복합니다 ; haeng-bok-ham-nida). It's all because of you, ARMY. You bundle a lot of joy."

Jin described his first solo album "Happy" as "a gift-like album created with his intentions of spreading happiness to more people."
His first journey of happiness began with meeting ARMYs up close. The showcase itself was reportedly is Jin's idea, and he also prepared reverse gifts for fans before the event. The gifts included skincare product from the cosmetics brand he represents ambassador, game controller-shaped keyrings, rubik cubes, special edition photocards, mini bags, and more. These thoughtful presents were designed to fill ARMY with joy.
The showcase stage was decorated with four concepts full of colorful colors that seemed to visualise "happiness." It added full elements by constantly changing from a music show, an award ceremony scene, to an office. The stage, which changed in various ways to match the music, increased the sense of immersion as if inviting ARMY to the scene of his music video.
Jin also revealed his rock passion, with had been apparent during his group activities. The album's title track, "Running Wild" and most of the songs incorporates rock band sounds. Jin performed all 10 tracks live during the showcase, showcasing his versality and talent.
The album features a total of six songs, including "Running Wild," "I'll Be There," "Another Level," "Until I Reach You," " Heart On The Window," and "I Will Come To You."
Jin described the title track "Running Wild" as having a "popping candy flavour." "Running Wild" is based on British rock with an impressive new wave sound. He mentioned, "It's a great song to listen to while running," adding, "It's also really exciting to play while driving."
The pre-released track "I'll Be There" revolves around the theme of "happiness." Jin shared, "The original lyrics were a love story, but it didn't reflect my idea of happiness." He explained that he kept the English lyrics but rewrote the Korean ones to truly express his own vision of happiness, showcasing his deep connection to the song.
After introducing the album, Jin performed tracks like "Until I Reach You" and "Heart On The Window," the latter being a duet with Red Velvet's Wendy. Midway through his performance of "Heart On The Window," Wendy made a surprise appearance on stage, delighting the audience.
The two completed a sweet duet song with perfect teamwork while standing far apart. After completing the surprise duet stage, Wendy and Jin still stood fat apart and gave each other 90-degree bow, saying, "Thank you so much," and "It was an honour to be able to do this with you." Their slightly awkward dynamic brought laughter to the fans.
Afterwards, he hosted a "Happy World Cup" with his fans, and the most desire thing was to dance to "No More Dream" effortlessly even at the age of 60. Later, Jin finished the showcase by singing "I Will Come To You" and "Another Level."
Jin sang all the songs on the album during the showcase, what could easily be considered a full-fledged concert. In addition to the songs on the album, he also prepared to perform his existing solo songs that were greatly loved, such as "Super Tuna," "Moon," and "The Astronaut."
Jin invited 3,800 ARMYs to attend the showcase in person. For fans who couldn't be there, the event was also live-streamed globally over two days via Weverse platform. The broadcast reached fans in 214 countries/regions, with real-time translations available in eight languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplify/Traditional), Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai and Spanish, proving BTS's continued popularity.
