BTS becomes the K-pop artist with the most streams on Spotify globally.

On the 5th, Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, announced its "2024 Wrapped Year-end Summary," revealing that BTS recorded 3.9 billion streams this year, ranking first as the most K-pop artist with the most streams globally.


Spotify is the world's No. 1 music streaming platform, commanding over 30% of the music streaming market share and leading the global music industry, while domestic platforms such as MelOn, Genie, and Bugs are popular in South Korea, Spotify is the most renowned music platform worldwide.

BTS has been the most-streamed K-pop artist globally every year since 2018, achieving this milestone for seven consecutive years. This marks yet another significant milestone in K-pop history.

The "Top 10 Most Streamed K-pop Artist Globally" announced by Spotify includes Jungkook (2nd), Jimin (4th), and V (7th), showing that the members' individual activities have had a significant impact on global chart.

Several solo albums by BTS members were included in the top rankings of the most streamed albums in South Korea, as announced by Spotify. The most-played album was Jimin's "Muse," while Jungkook's "GOLDEN" (2nd) and "3D: The Remixes" (4th), which also ranked highly.


Suga's solo album "D-Day," released under the name Agust D, ranked 8th, demonstrating that BTS members' individual activities have made a significant impact in South Korea as well.


BTS holds various K-pop firsts and records on Spotify. 


BTS is the only K-pop artist to surpass 41 billion cumulatives streams, making them the first group in Spotify history to achieve 41 billion streams.


Jimin's "Who" is the song by a Korean artist that surpassed 1 billion streams in the shortest amount of time, highlighting Jimin's global popularity.


V set a record as the first K-pop solo artist to exceed 19 million followers on Spotify, solidifying his position as a leading solo artist in K-pop. 


Additionally, Jungkook's set a historic record by surpassing 2 billion streams on Spotify with his single "Seven (feat. Latto)," making him the first K-pop artist to achieve this milestone.


BTS's Spotify year-end recap achievements this year once again demonstrated their global influence and musical success. 


BTS, who set the record for the most K-pop streams for seven consecutive years, is further elevating the status of K-pop with remarkable achievements both in their individual activities and as a group.
