General Manager (GM) Shin Sunjung has been appointed as the new CEO of Big Hit Music.
Big Hit Music, the agency of the group BTS, announced on the 26th that it had appointed Shin Sunjung as its new CEO.
Shin Sunjung, the new CEO, joined Big Hit Entertainment, the predecessor of HYBE, in 2010 and contributed to the birth and early growth of the world-famous artists BTS.
She served as Head of HYBE's Training and Development (T&D) office and General Manager (GM), she led the advancement of the rookies development system, including selecting trainees that dot the characteristics of each HYBE label and developing and operating training programs.
Artists who have debuted through T&D programs include BTS, TXT, ENHYPEN, Le Sserafim, and &TEAM.
In recognition of her contribution, CEO Shi. Sunjung as selected as the "2022 Billboard 40 Under 40," which considers young leaders under the age of 40, leading the global industry. In addition, she was also named in the "Multi Sector" section of the "2023 Billboard Women In Music," which selects female artists, creators, producers, and executives who have had significant impact on the music industry.
