Jin kicked off his "Happy" promotions with ARMY (fandom name).
On November 16-17, BTS's Jin held a showcase titled "Jin 'Happy Special Stage" at Jangchung Gymnasium Arena in Jung-gu, Seoul. As this showcase was held to commemorate the release of Jin's solo album "Happy," Jin performed all the songs on the album with an all-live band and communicated with fans through various interactive segments.
Jin took the stage accompanied by a live band and greeted the audience, saying, "This time, I'm full of pleasant tension. That's because my solo album "Happy" has been released," and greeted the fans who filled the hall, saying, "This album was made for ARMY, so I'm determined to make you happy today as well."
He opened the showcase with a powerful performance of the title track "Running Wild" for the first time, and fans sang along to raise the heat of the site to the highest level. He then showed off his solid vocals with "Until I Reach You," "Another Level," and "I'll Be There," perfectly embodying the rock genre. The "griefing" stage had a different atmosphere from the previous performances with the addition of a gentle piano accompaniment, and Jin conveyed the deep emotions contained the song with his sorrowful voice. The fans turned on the lights from their phone and ARMY Bombs, creating a beautiful scene.
On the last day of the fan showcase, Red Velvet's Wendy made a surprise appearance and sang "Heart On The Window (with Wendy)" together. The harmony between the two of K-Pop's representative vocalists moved the audience deeply, Wendy said, "When I first heard the song, Ioved it. I usually sing in front of my fans, but singing in front of ARMY makes me feel like debuting all over again. I'm grateful to have been part of such a great album." Jin responded, "Thank you so much for joining me without hesitation."
In addition, Jin also prepared a presentation to introduce his "Happy" album, and sharing behind-the-scenes stories about each track. "I thought about how I wanted to capture the idea of making ARMYs happy through the album." He than asked for a response by saying, "I believe that greater happiness comes when we share it together. I plan to work hard toward this goal, so ARMYs, you'll join me, right?" electing cheers from the audience.
After performing all the tracks from his new album, Jin delighted fans by presenting his previously released solo songs such a s "Super Tuna," "Moon," and "The Astronaut" in new band arrangements, receiving enthusiastic applause. Toward the end of the show, Jin shared his reflections; "In life, haven't we experienced immense happiness just when I thought it was the end of that happiness, I found there was even more beyond it. And when I thought that happens waiting for me, I believe if you keep waiting, another wave of happiness will come to you as well."
This fan showcase caught everyone's attention with its quick set changes that matches Jin's music. The delicate production that naturally changed the stage concept using LEDs that moved up and down stood out. The stage decorated with multi-stages was designed in total of 4 ways, and each set and special effects that appeared in various music video for the title song "Running Wild" and pre-released song "I'll Be There."
Jin also spread happiness by giving all the fans who attend the venue by presenting key rings and cube-shaped like game console that symbolised his hobbies. The showcase was also live-streamed on the global super fan platform Weverse for two days for fans who couldn't attend. This live stream was watched in 214 countries/regions around the world, proving his global popularity.
