BTS Jimin Donates 100 million won for ARMY During Military Service "Joins Honor Society"



BTS Jimin practiced good deeds by donating 100 million won while serving in the military.


According to Star News and other sources on the 23rd, Jimin, a member of BTS, recently joined the Honor Society, a group of donors who donated more than 100 million won go the "Wisdom Dedication Friendship Funds," which is underway with the ARMY.


Jimin was named the second major donor after donating over 100 million won to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation on his birthday in 2021 and becoming a member of the Green Noble Club, a group of major donors. The donation is even more meaningful because it was made while Jimin was serving in the military.


Since 2018, the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea had been operating the "ARMY Patriotic Comrades Love Fund" together with ARMYs. Jimin's donation will be used to support living expenses, medical expenses, and scholarships for army soldiers and their families who have devoted and sacrificed themselves for the country.


Jimin donated 100 million won in education to the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education in 2019 following support for school uniform expenses for juniors in his alma mater in 2018, replaced 1200 desks and chairs for all students at his alma mater Busan Arts High School in 2020, and donated 100 million won in scholarship funds to the Jeonnam Future Education Foundation in August. In 2021, he also donated 100 million won to the non-profit international volunteer organization Rotary for polio children around the world.


He donated 100 million won to the Gangwon Provincial Office of Education in 2022, and 100 million won to the Korean Committee of UNICEF in 2023 by participating in emergency relief for children's affected by earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. In March of the same year, he delivered a donation of 100 million won to the Chungbuk Provincial Office of Education to commemorate the release of his first solo album. In August, Jimin's alma mater, Busan Arts High School, delivered a scholarship of 30 million won through the Busan Headquarters of Green Umbrella, and it is known that the donation to his alma mater since 2019 alone amounted to 160 million won.


This year, Jimin's father delivered a scholarship Dongui Science University in Busan in April and 100 million won in scholarship to the Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education on behalf of Jimin, who is serving in the military.
